FISH FARMING CAN IMPROVE LIVELIHOODS

Africa-Press – Botswana. Multitudes of Batswana converged at Oliphant’s Drift on Saturday for the Dinokeng Fish Festival.

The event, which was officially opened by Botswana Post CEO, Mr Cornelius Ramatlhakwane, was graced by dignitaries among them, Minister of Environment and Tourism, Mr Dumezweni Mthimkhulu, Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Mmusi Kgafela, Kgatleng East MP, Mr Mabuse Pule, Members of the Diplomatic Corps and senior government officials.

Various speakers at the event urged residents to venture into fish farming to improve their livelihoods. They said the sector had the potential to become Botswana’s major industry. Visitors were treated to a fish dishes, dikhwaere and canoeing.
