Speaking on behalf of Tsetseng Retail Group, Mr Kemiso Gotewang explained that the company felt a responsibility to assist where possible. He emphasized that supporting schools aligns with the company’s values and reflects a shared commitment to children’s welfare. Mr Gotewang also noted that the initiative mirrors government efforts to prioritise the needs of learners and vulnerable children. The company’s ongoing contribution demonstrates corporate social responsibility in action and sets a precedent for other businesses. By providing consistent resources, the retail group helps ensure that students can concentrate on learning without facing daily nutritional challenges.

Regional Director Mr Labane Mokgosi commended the company’s generosity and encouraged other organisations to follow their example. He also urged schools to formalise partnerships through MOUs to clearly define stakeholder roles and recognition. Such agreements create transparency and ensure that contributions are efficiently managed to benefit learners. Mr Mokgosi noted that partnerships like these strengthen community engagement and help cultivate a culture of giving. The collaboration between FCDE and Tsetseng Retail Group represents a model for sustained support that addresses both educational and social needs in Francistown.
