Africa-Press – Botswana. Hollard Life Botswana has partnered with Funeral Services Group (FSG) to create affordable convenient funeral insurance packages that will lessen the burden on families during times of grief.

Speaking at the launch of the partnership in Gaborone on Tuesday, FSG head of sales, Ms Tebogo Moribame-Setiko said over the last two years, inflation had caused a significant rise in prices of all commodities, goods and services.

“This has eroded the benefit value of funeral products and services, therefore, FSG and Hollard Life undertook a holistic view of our product offering so that an affordable and dignified funeral can be afforded to families,” he said.

The new partnership, Ms Moribame-Setiko said, offered enhanced funeral insurance products with increased benefits at a minimal increase in premiums.

She said the benefits included a 10 per cent claim bonus, being 10 per cent of premiums paid as cash back, a reduction in the age of entry for policy holders, from 21 to 18 years and an increase in total value of funeral benefits including cash.

Meanwhile, Hollard Life Botswana managing director, Ms Tabuya Tau said her company’s reputation was built around passion and commitment to creating lasting and relevant partnerships.

“Our purpose is to enable more people to create a secure and better future by achieving exceptional, sustainable and inclusive growth by treating everyone with care and dignity.

Our partnership with FSG is testament to that,” she said.

Ms Tau said Hollard Life Botswana’s team of experts collaborated and worked tirelessly to design the comprehensive and customisable funeral plans that provided peace of mind for all its clients.

“The partnership, an important step towards expanding sustainable financial inclusion for all, and enrollment in our insurance policies, is the beginning of a journey that gives protection and generates tangible value for policy holders and dependents,” she said.
