Africa-Press – Botswana. It is time to prepare denim and white outfits for a second edition of the Into Africa Easter picnic to be held at Flamboyant Gardens on April 20.
What started as a local performance showcase is growing bigger and better, with the introduction of an international artist at this year’s Easter picnic. Joining a rich talent of Botswana’s creative in A.T.I, Chokoma, Lerofo, The Choreographers, Motlha, LebGee, DJ Slym, and Dj Verlaty among others is gospel maestro Sechaba from South Africa.
Into Africa events are a blend of entertainment, economic empowerment and community innovation with the event providing a platform for budding entrepreneurs, both young and old.
“We give the local community an opportunity to showcase and sell their products and services to our patrons as a way of uplifting and empowering,” organiser of the event Thuso Mohurutshe said.
He said the event was also a networking platform particularly for the aspiring business owners as some successful business owners attend the event as well. Additionally, he said the show created direct and indirect jobs for the youth. Tickets for the festival are sold at P100, P120, and P150 at the gate on the day of the event.
