Africa-Press – Botswana. The second edition of Into Africa Picnic Festival is scheduled for Adashe Garden Resort in Thamaga on December 29.
Hosted by The Dawn Sessions, the picnic is a family fun day event created for revellers to unwind just after the Christmas holidays as they prepare to usher in the New Year.
The picnic provides not only entertainment in form of performances, but also gives the community an opportunity to showcase their products.
“We have stalls in place for entrepreneurs to generate money and market their products from and merchandise sales during the event,” said organiser Thuso Mohurutshe.
He said the event had not only brought entertainment to the village but also created job opportunities for the youth through event activations, security provision and caterers as well as performers.
He noted that the event had attracted revellers from various places from the country coming in to share diverse cultures through the themed dress code of African attire.
Some of the performances scheduled for the event include Double Up, Thabang Gaarogwe as well as local DJs Kello, Romeo Tha Medley, Eddie The DJ, DJ Rudo among others.
Early bird tickets for Into Africa picnic have been sold out, however revellers can buy tickets for P100 at the gate and P350 for a group of five people.
