Africa-Press – Botswana. Kgosi Kgomotso Boiditswe of Serowe main kgotla has died.

The 65-year-old chief’s representative died Monday (June 26) night at Sedilega Private Hospital in Gaborone.

This was confirmed by deputy chief of GaMmangwato, Kgosi Serogola Seretse in an interview on June 27. Kgosi Boiditswe was appointed Headman of Arbitration in Topisi and transferred to Serowe last year, to serve as the chief’s representative at the main kgotla.

“I went to check on him while he was admitted at [Francistown’s] Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital three weeks back and he seemed to be recovering well,” stated Kgosi Seretse.

Two weeks later he was referred to Sedilega, where he met his untimely demise, Kgosi Seretse stated adding that the Bangwato chieftancy was still in shock to learn of Kgosi Boiditswe’s passing.

Kgosi Seretse had met with dikgosana in Serowe to inform them of Kgosi Boiditswe’s passing and was scheduled to meet with dikgosi from Serowe and surrounding areas later in the afternoon.
