KGOSI MANYIWA OF MAFHUNGOHUBONA DIES

Africa-Press – Botswana. Kgosi Tendani Manyiwa of Mafhungo/Hubona has died after a short illness. Speaking in an interview on Tuesday, a family representative and his son Mr Manyiwa Manyiwa said his father (79) died on Sunday night.

Sharing a short account of his life, Mr Manyiwa said Kgosi was the first headmen of records for Mafhungo/Hubona after it was gazetted to become a village in 2016. In addition besides being the village chief he was instrumental in the introduction of government institutions such as the primary school, clinic and kgotla and other developments, pointing out that he also assisted he community to build their own kgotla offices while waiting for the government to facilitate other necessities. Kgosi is survived by his wife and five children; two sons and three daughters.

He will be laid to rest on Saturday morning.
