Africa-Press – Botswana. Communities of Maralaleng and Draihoek will have a somber Saturday as they will be laying to rest two of their traditional leaders.

In an interview, Kgosi David Megano of Maralaleng said the headman of arbitration of Masedi Ward in Maralaleng, Ms Keelesitse Kgangnnyeng died on April 20, after a short illness.

He said the deceased had a long history of service to the community, having volunteered since 1998 and being formally employed in 2004.

Meanwhile, Kgosi Sekai Kgaodi of Draihoek confirmed the death of Herero Ward headman of arbitration Mr Thomas Kavari who has been ill since 2022.

He said Mr Kavari would also be buried in Draihoek on the same day.
