Africa-Press – Botswana. Two years ago, award-winning media personality Kedi Molosiwa made the bold decision to walk away from her job as a radio host, with no backup plan and no clear path ahead.

Now, nearly three months since announcing her transition into the world of podcasting, Molosiwa is already four episodes in and showing no signs of slowing down.

Her show, Life Unscripted, is as intimate as it is unfiltered, slow-paced, soulful and unmistakably her own.

“When I left radio, I did not have any other jobs lined up. I just said, I don’t want to be here. I don’t like it here. I don’t feel respected or valued. So let me just leave.”

For Molosiwa, Life Unscripted is the product of faith, faith in herself and in God, to navigate the uncertainty that followed her departure.

She described the podcast as a space for honest storytelling and shared humanity.

“I always say it is about anything and everything that has to do with being alive, a place for stories that do not usually get a platform,” she explained.

Her platform has since earned her a growing and loyal online community.

With thousands of viewers and listeners across YouTube and social media, Molosiwa is embracing the freedom podcasting offers, content on demand, no rigid time slots, and real-time engagement.

“With an online community, it is easier to see the numbers, to actually quantify who is watching, who is giving feedback, and who is part of your audience,” she said, expressing gratitude to her subscribers and supporters.

Despite the challenges, from editing her own content to building a dedicated team, Molosiwa remains unfazed.

With no formal film or production training, she is driven by a desire to learn and grow.

Since its debut, Life Unscripted has tackled real-life topics ranging from studying abroad with guest Pako Lekoko, to toxic marriages with Tlotlo Ghanie.

Looking ahead, Molosiwa hopes to sit down with influential figures like Bogolo Kenewendo, Lesego Chombo, and President Duma Boko.

“I think Bogolo is a great role model for girls and boys with big dreams. These are important figures with inspiring stories I’d love to unwrap.”

All Life Unscripted episodes air on YouTube, with new episodes dropping weekly.
