The Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) celebrated the Class of 2025 at Boipuso Hall, marking the graduation of 312 students from seven faculties and seven countries. The ceremony was officiated by Botswana’s Minister of Sport and Arts, Honourable Jacob Kelebeng.
Minister Kelebeng highlighted the government’s commitment to education, stressing that the nation’s strength lies in its youth, whom he called the ‘changemakers of today’. Addressing the graduates under the theme, “Creativity without Limits,” he urged them to lead Botswana’s transformation through innovation, entrepreneurship, and integrity. He emphasised that graduates should use their knowledge and skills to serve the community and contribute to national development.
During the event, Minister Kelebeng praised LUCT as a ‘dependable ally’ in advancing the creative sector and nurturing innovation. He also announced a new partnership between LUCT and the Ministry of Sport and Arts (MoSA), under which the university will sponsor 20 individuals from Botswana’s creative and sports sectors. The total value of these scholarships is P1,607,298.90, reflecting a significant investment in developing talent across the country.
Limkokwing University Council Chairman, Dr. Ditshupo Ecco Maje, acknowledged the graduates’ resilience in completing their studies, while Acting Vice Chancellor Dato Gail Phung encouraged alumni to become active leaders shaping Botswana’s future.
Minister Kelebeng concluded by congratulating the graduates and urging them to embrace LUCT’s ‘industry-within-university’ philosophy, using their education to drive innovation and positive change in society. The Class of 2025 graduation highlighted Botswana’s commitment to empowering youth and strengthening the creative and sports sectors through collaboration between government and academia.
