The Minister of Child Welfare and Basic Education, Ms Nono Kgafela-Mokoka, engaged with the media during the ongoing 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The conference marks a historic milestone as the first to be held outside France in nearly 40 years. It brings together representatives from all 194 UNESCO member states to shape policies, programmes, and strategic priorities for the organisation.

Minister Kgafela-Mokoka is leading the Botswana delegation and is scheduled to deliver her official statement this afternoon.
