Africa-Press – Botswana. A local entrepreneur, Mr Mompoloki Mogobe of Mogobe Incorporated has proved to the doubting Thomases that hard work is a gateway to success.

He has managed to steer a boat on unchartered waters and today owns several businesses, most of them in the real estate industry.

On Friday, he extended his footprint in the industry as he unveiled yet another building, a warehouse called Mogobe Nkoyaphiri Industrial Park in Mogoditshane.

The theme of the ceremony was Powering Progress, the Giant Awakens, which he said was more like a summary of what he had written in his business inspirational book.

He said the premises were the reality of what the book was all about, a dream that came true.

Mr Mogobe said the 2 421.12 square metres structure with five parking bays per unit, was ideal for multi business purposes, ranging from manufacturing, office, retail, logistics, baking to milling.

He said by shifting his focus from renting offices to building warehouses, he was responding to COVID-19 challenges when the country faced food challenges.

Mr Mogobe, who is also an author of the book, MOMP! Nuggets of Grit and host of Mogobe Nuggets of Wisdom Podcast said it was not easy to build such a colossal premises amidst economic suppressions as a result of COVID-19.

He said perseverance and commitment had propelled the success of the project hence he urged Batswana to learn to be patient.

The premises were not only buildings, but also a reflection of job creation as workers, from top to lower management, were needed to run businesses, which will be opened there, he said.

Chilambos Constructors director, Mr Abraham Chisoro, who built the warehouse, said the project was relevant to Vision 2036’s requirements.

For her part, Ms Oakantse Alfred, director of Lesedi Lebone Property Developers, who was one of the successful entrepreneurs groomed by Mr Mogobe, hailed him for the project saying it spoke volume of his unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation and economic empowerment of the local communities.

“This facility is not a physical structure but it is a statement. A statement of confidence in Botswana’s future more especially during the juncture as the economy is said to be struggling.

Putting up this structure for manufacturing shows commitment toward believing into a brighter future.

This is a statement of resilience, bold planning and long term investment.

Industry pack such as this one are critical enablers of development.

They foster entrepreneurship, create jobs and facilitate trade,” said Ms Alfred.

She also said such industries served as magnets of innovation.

What we see here today, Ms Alfred said was s stepping stone not just for the Mogobe Inc. but for many businesses that would operate and for the youth who would be employed at the premises.

She further said it was inspiring to witness a company investing in infrastructure that answered the call for industrial readiness, operational efficiency and national competitiveness.

“As someone who has long believed in the power of private sector leadership to shape national progress, I see today as the celebration of what is possible and when the vision needs execution.

This is what Botswana needs; developers and entrepreneurs who think big, who act bold and who build sustainably.
