Africa-Press – Botswana. International house music vocalist Monique Bingham will grace The Gin Factor stage at Bojanala Waterfront on Saturday, courtesy of The Gallery House BW events agency.
Known for her poignant soulful jazzy voice, Monique Bingham’s last performance in Botswana was in 2016 when she was hosted by Grand Palm to usher in the New Year.
“Botswana, it has been too long since I have been back. See you soon,” said the house music vocalist on her Instagram post.
Targeting the older and corporate market, The Gin Factor experience brings the legendary Monique Bingham at a time when the older market is hungry for a laid back and chilled soulful house show which will remind them of the good old days.
“Monique Bingham is a perfect fit for this crowd. She is legendary and has worked with some of the big producers in the game,” organiser Thabo ‘Drew’ Letsebe said on their choice of a headliner.
Drew also said Monique Bingham had many sing along songs that resonates well with the Baby Boomers and Gen X demographic.
From the local line-up, The Gin Factor will host celebrated DJs such as DJ Lefatshe, NT Base and Deelow among others.
“We are big on pushing local content and talent, and this event will not be any different as we will continue to push for our local craft to shine,” said Drew.
The Gin Factor will also provide a platform to learn more about gin especially with more local gin brands that have emerged over the years.
“Those interested in the product and how to venture into the market will have an opportunity to engage and interact with gin experts and expand their vision and inspiration,” added Drew saying that some Gin brands will also share their stories to inspire and encourage.
Tickets for The Gin Factor event goes for P150 single and P250 double at webtickets, Liqourama outlets, Choppies Westgate and at Maru A Pula School.
