Africa-Press – Botswana. Minister for State President, Mr Kabo Morwaeng on April 6 attended the 30th anniversary of the 1994 Rwanda genocide in Kigali on behalf of President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi.
The commemoration was held to honour the survivors and victims of the genocide, which claimed the lives of more than one million Rwanda citizens.
A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the commemoration was held under the theme: Remember, Unite, Renew.
It says a number of global leaders, including heads of state and former heads of state attended the commemoration. Mr Morwaeng is expected back (April 9).
