Africa-Press – Botswana. Local tennis player, Mark Nawa will once again face his South African counterpart, Siyabonga Jaca in World ITF J60 final to be played in South Africa, Pretoria today.

In the quarterfinals, Nawa defeated South Africa’s Heinrich Rootmaa 6-7, 2-6 to book a place in the semi-final, where he defeated Elison Minnaar of Great Britain 6-2, 6-3 to book a slot in the final.

Jaca beat his countryman, Tian Nelson 6-4, 6-7, 6-0 enroute to the final.

In their previous encounter, Nawa defeated Jaca 7-5,6-2 in the ITF J30 World Tour Juniors Championship final, which was played in Gaborone in April.

He said in an interview that he would bring an ‘A’ game, because his ultimate goal was to win double against Jaca.

He admitted that winning against Jaca would not be a walk in the park.

“When we played in Gaborone in April, he was injured, but this time around he is super fit and it is going to be a good encounter to watch,” he said.

Though, he said he had not been active since the ITF J30 World Tour Juniors Championship, he said Jaca should expect a strong fight in the court.

He said he wanted the win more and he would apply all techniques he needed to apply in order to win.

Meanwhile Seabo Saleshando lost to South Africa’s Jayden Summers 6-4, 6-4 in the first round of the tournament.

Esi Molefe also lost 5-7, 4-6 to South Africa Cristian Van Royeen in the first round of the tournament.
