He noted that the educational landscape had changed, urging parents and stakeholders not to remain passive while teachers bore the burden alone.

“The collaboration of all stakeholders will be vital,” he added.

He praised Shashe River School for its impressive results despite facing numerous challenges, from physical to financial resources, and therefore commended their perseverance.

Tonota Member of Parliament, Mr Gaefele Sedombo, also congratulated Shashe River School for securing the top spot in the 2024 BGCSE results. He noted that the school’s resilience, positive thinking, and courage in overcoming challenges contributed to the success.

“The difficulties faced during exam preparations provided students with a platform to focus more, leading to these excellent results,” he stated.

He assured teachers and stakeholders that, despite the tough working conditions, the village leadership would continue to support the school in its pursuit of excellence.

The school’s acting head, Mr Solomon Ramokate acknowledged the celebration of their commendable results as both a triumph and a challenge.

“We must maintain these results, as we have now set a benchmark that other schools will strive to reach,” he said.

He credited the school’s success to the dedicated staff and recognised the contributions of former school head, Mr Mpaladzi Manjingo together with his then deputy Mr George Showa who are now transferred.
