Africa-Press – Botswana. The Mares’ two players, Refilwe Tholakele and Kesegofetse Mochawe are reportedly still in Botswana following their fallout with their Equatorial Guinea side, Malabo Kings. The duo left the country last year in what was expected to be a major move, but only stayed for a short while before they returned to the country.

Upon their return, the two players stated that the club did not meet some of the contractual obligations. The Equatorial Guinea side on the other hand has reportedly expressed its disappointment and shock at the two players’ actions and threatened to seek legal recourse on the matter. Both the club and the players had sought the help of the Footballers Union of Botswana (FUB), which has since asked the players to submit relevant documentation.

FUB secretary general, Kgosana Masaseng confirmed the players are still in the country. “The players are still in Botswana. We are still waiting for them to come to the office with the required documents which they promised to bring to us. And then we will be able to act on those basis,” he said.

Meanwhile Mexican Girls have confirmed the departure of one of their exciting players, Serati ‘Pintshu’ Modisenyane. The player is reportedly set for a return to Gaborone United (GU).
