Africa-Press – Botswana. President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi says the late Felix Katse was an incredible sociable person.
He therefore remains grateful to have had crossed paths with him.
President Masisi said this on Friday during a visit to the Katse family in Tlokweng to comfort them after Mr Felix Katse died at the age of 86.
The President extended his heartfelt condolences to the family saying, “Katse was an incredible person who was a people’s person.
Having worked with him at some point, I speak with pride that Mr Katse represented some of the best of what Botswana is and I remain grateful to have interacted with him,” he said.
He encouraged his children to emulate their father, whom he said had an orderly way of doing things. Mr Katse’s son, Mr Noble Katse told President Masisi that his father died from a short illness at Gaborone’s Sedilega Private Hospital.
Another family member, Mr Eljah Katse, said the deceased was a strict, but loving father and the family would forever remember his good deeds.
Mr Katse, who was buried in Tlokweng on Saturday, leaves behind a wife and four children.
