Africa-Press – Botswana. President Mokgweetsi Masisi officially opened the Okavango River Bridge in Mohembo on Saturday.
The over P1 billion bridge was fully funded by government under the Domestic Development Fund. President Masisi said government had priotised quality infrastructure development, which is key to social upliftment, economic growth and development. The project entailed 1.161km of bridge and about 3km of approach roads to the bridge, as well as associated drainage, electrical installations and reticulation to the bridge. Street lighting was also installed on the 3km approach road.
