Africa-Press – Botswana. President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi will travel to South Africa to mourn the deaths of 45 members of St Engenas ZCC church in Molepolole and the driver Thursday.While visiting St Engenas yesterday, President Masisi explained that it was appropriate for him to go to South Africa, after this tragic incident, to see where his people are. He said the visit to South Africa would also be to thank the local government and the ministry for ensuring the smooth running of the investigation.
President Masisi said South Africa should be thanked many times over for showing a spirit of cooperation between it and Botswana.
He has encouraged these two worlds, to continue to support each other in pain and pleasure.
Meanwhile, President Masisi reminded the public of the memorial prayers to be held in Gaborone at Mmadikolo on Thursday.
Dr Masisi said the prayers would be attended by dignitaries from South Africa and ZCC leadership from there as they would bring condolences to the family, the Bakwena and Batswana community in general and the congregation here.
