
Africa-Press – Botswana. The President of Botswana encourages his country’s troops who are part of the SADC Military Mission, to remain committed to combating terrorism, in Cabo Delgado.
Mokgwetsi Masisi, as commander-in-chief of the Botswana Defense and Security Forces, visited the Tswana contingent at their base in the city of Pemba this Saturday.
On the occasion, the Botswana statesman recalled that the Tswana troops’ mission in Cabo Delegado ends in July 2024, so they will soon be able to return home and have a well-deserved rest.
During the visit to the troops in Cabo Delgado, the President of Botswana was accompanied by the Minister of National Defense, Cristovão Chume.
