Africa-Press – Botswana. Table Tennis player Tshepiso Rebatenne is in Tunis, Tunisia, where she will compete in the Africa Continental Qualifiers.
According to a statement from Botswana Table Tennis Association she has made it to the qualifiers by virtue of qualification during the ITTF Southern Africa Region World Qualifiers 2023 that were hosted in from June to July.
The qualifiers started on Monday with team events category and will conclude on Sunday.
The statement further said the Africa Continental Qualifiers serve as a crucial platform for players like Rebatenne to showcase their skills and compete against other athletes from the continent.
The qualifiers, according to the release, will offer her a chance to secure a spot at the World Table Tennis Championships, which will be held in Busan, Korea on February 16- 25 2024.
“As Rebatenne embarks on this journey, we can only anticipate her determination to excel and represent her country with pride. Her participation in the Africa Continental Qualifiers reflects her dedication to the sport and her aspirations to achieve greatness,” says the statement.
