Commending the ministry for the decision, he said it would help the council to carry out road maintenance explaining that some were in a bad state.Mr Modimana said refurbishing internal roads would go a long way in helping to attract foreign direct investment as well as tourists. He emphasised that infrastructure development was an integral part of development.

The council’s economic planner, Ms Queen Goepamang said in Selebi Phikwe East constituency a storm water drainage system along the Serowe-Mmutle road and a culvert drainage outlet along Boikhutso Junior Secondary School would be undertaken through the initiative.
