Africa-Press – Botswana. Jwaneng Galaxy forward, Thabang Sesinyi led the Zebras’ attack in the opening AFCON 2023 qualifying match against Libya. The Zebras are in Benghazi and take on the Mediterranean Knights at the Martyrs of February Stadium at a 6pm kick-off time.
Sesinyi recently won the local league’s golden boot with 24 goals and is part of a three-man frontline to take on Libya. Zebras’ coach, Mogomotsi ‘Teenage’ Mpote has included a Moroccan based duo of Tumisang Orebonye and Kabelo Seakanyeng in the attack. The two have scored a combined 15 goals for Olympique Club de Khouribga (OCK) this season. In midfield, Mpote has given Orapa United’s Gofaone Mabaya a rare start, alongside Mothusi Cooper while Lebogang Ditsele has been deployed to protect the back four. Gaborone United’s Goitseone Phoko starts in goal, as Thato Kebue and Cooper have the full-back roles. The team’s captain, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe and Mosha Gaolaolwe will start in the heart of the defence.
