Africa-Press – Botswana. President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi launched Thuo Letlotlo Programme in Serowe.
He said the programme was testament to government’s commitment to stimulating the agriculture sector to help the country to be food secure and produce quality beef locally, so that farmers could get returns for their investment.
Thuo Letlotlo is a government flagship programme intended to catalyse the country’s animal production sector by increasing the national herd.
It aims to enable Batswana to leverage government’s artificial insemination programme to enhance the quality of breeding stock nationwide.
Government will make it cheaper for Batswana to get quality breeds through Artificial Insemination.
