Africa-Press – Botswana. Vice President, Mr Slumber Tsogwane arrived in Lusaka, Zambia today for the Kavango Zambezi (KAZA) TransFrontier Conservation Area (TFCA) Heads of State and Government Summit.

The summit is the first of its kind since the KAZA TFCA treaty was signed in August 2011. It is held under the theme “Leveraging KAZA’S Natural Capital and Cultural Heritage Resources as catalysts for inclusive socio economic development of the ecoregion”.

In addition, the summit will review progress since the establishment of the TFCA, and provide member states with the opportunity to affirm their commitment to the TFCA.

Mr Tsogwane is accompanied by the Acting Minister of Environment and Tourism Ms Nnaniki Makwinja and senior government officials. The summit which started May 27 ends May 31.
