We may say it’s new because we have no accurate knowledge of the past or the strategy and the approach has changed. Ecclesiastes 1:9-11. The first professor of WITCHCRAFT is Satan and he presented his first lesson in Eden and the demo that he used was a snake.The naked truth is that WITCHCRAFT is as real as Satan is! And the word of God has a lot to say about witchcraft. To deny the existence of WITCHRAFT is to deny the very existence of the devil and this is how the devil has been operating over the years! This is the strategy that has made his work successful over the time. That’s why WITCHRAFT is such a high secret; it is a reality but it remains a secret and that is how it survives by remaining mysterious. People are scared of it but they will not talk much about it; even Christians are afraid of it. Devil worship thrives on secrecy! We are now coming to the end of the world and the devil knows that his time is short and he will lose big-time! So WITCHCRAFT is now becoming popular and appealing to many people. It is coming out into the public arena like any other art! Yes! Witches can come together for a show of their powers and advertise the sophistry to their clients; like we do business promotion shows. Now there is no need of going there Nicodemusly! Even king Saul went to see the witch in secrecy! They have removed it from the backyard and forbidden secret to modernize it; so that those who are classy can also have an opportunity to join it because it was initially considered barbaric and backward. The devil is doing an upgrade and coming up with a killer strategy. He is trying to appeal to the taste of the modern client! Lo and behold the whole world will bow down in reverence to the prince of darkness! This is open rebellion against the kingdom of God!
DENIAL OF THE EXISTENCE OF WITCHCRAFT IS SPIRITUAL IGNORANCE OR DELIBERATE DECEPTION:
Those who say there is no WITCHRAFT are simply spiritually blind or intending to deceive others! In many instances WITCHCRAFT is dismissed as a myth or laughed off as some unrealistic believe; this is the killer philosophy for Satan! He finishes people while they dismiss him as a joke! Those who are spiritually immature and do not understand spiritual things often laugh away WITCHCRAFT as magic; even Christians often deny the existence of WITCHCRAFT, No wonder they often get entangled in the snares of Satan and tormented by demons and cannot obtain victory over them because they are ignorant of the magnitude of the great controversy. 1Corinthians 2:14. WITCHCRAFT is the art of Satan. In the garden of Eden he appeared as a snake! Genesis 3; Revelation 12:9! To this day the snake has become a symbol of devil worship. He is always hiding behind something. That’s why witches can send snakes; scorpions, owls, cats and other animals and strange things; they always hide behind something. I have seen those things happening as we continue to battle with the powers of darkness controlling the world. Those who deny the existence of WITCHCRAFT and its power cannot be successful against it; even their prayers cannot avail much. The devil is a reality.
DOES WITCHCRAFT WORK?
YES! It works and performs many wonders and strange things; from making people rich; wining lotteries, giving luck and many other sophistries. Yes! WITCHCRAFT works; it kills, it can send mysterious fire and thunder; read Job 1! it can send demons to torture someone and hallucinate until they lose their sanity; it can cause accidents. It is witchcraft which teaches people to do ritual killings! In short WITCHCRAFT is powerful because it is the power of Satan. Yes! Witches have the power to heal! Read Matthew 7:21-23. WITCHCRAFT can cast out demons. Matthew 12:25-28! The majority of us grew up hearing all those strange stories about popular and well-known spirit mediums who were revered and worshipped because of their fierce power with which they could do everything from sending thunder or causing someone to go astray! And those who are smart and civilized but ignorant of the things of God dismiss it as “mainane” until they are stuck between a rock and hard place. And they start running helter & skelter like a headless chicken. And in their desperation become a victim of spirit mediums and false prophets and spend a lot of money on something they could have received for free from God! WITCHCRAFT is expensive; first they will eat the black goats, when they finish, they eat the white ones; then chickens until you are bankrupt. The power of God is given for free but the power of Satan is paid for. Jesus said to His disciples; “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.” Matthew 10:8. The Bible says when we are dealing with WITCHCRAFT, we are not dealing with mere human beings but we are dealing with powes, and principalities, with the rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12.
GOD FORBADE HIS PEOPLE FROM CONSULTING WITCHES
In the Old Testament God gave clear instructions on WITCHCRAFT. A witch or a wizard was not allowed to live. Today we cannot kill any witch, but God will finally destroy witches at the end of the world. Because outside the kingdom of God there will be sorcerers. Revelation 22:15! Exodus 22:18. Deuteronomy 18:10; Leviticus 19:31; Leviticus 20:6; 1Samuel 28; 2Kings 21:6; 2 Kings 23:24. God from ancient time has forbidden His people not to consult witches/wizards or those who had familiar spirits. Isaiah 8:19. Isaiah 19:3. God rejected kings who consulted witches. 2Chronicles 33. When we accept WITCHCRAFT we are technically rejecting God. After Saul was rejected by God; he went to consult a witch at Endor! And the witch showed him a ghost that looks like Samuel the prophet who was dead. It is the witches who send ‘thokolosis’ and demons and the ghosts that appear like our dead relatives. Those dead relatives you are speaking with at night is the power of WITCHCRAFT.
THE POWER OF GOD AND HIS WORD IS GREATER THAN WITCHCRAFT
In Babylon the popular witches failed to explain the king’s dream until Daniel came after prayer. Daniel 2. In Egypt the sorcerers and magicians failed to interpret the king’s dream until joseph the true servant of God came. Genesis 41. Its unfortunate for Christians to waste money looking for help from witches. This reveals how ignorant we are of the God we worship. Many people are going to be lost because they depended on WITCHCRAFT instead of trusting God. Paul and Phillip defeated WITCHCRAFT by preaching the word. Moses also defeated the witches and magicians of Egypt and his snake swallowed their snakes and they went home empty handed without their charming sticks that they have been using for divination. Exodus 7:9-12. The weakest Christian who trusts in prayer is more than a match for the devil and his hosts. If you are troubled by WITCHCRAFT and spirits of witches you only need prayer and a simple faith in the word of God and separation from the systems of Satan that often bring this influence upon many people.
WITCHRAFT IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
In New Testament witchcraft is described as the works of the flesh. Galatians 5:20. In the New Testament WITCHCRAFT was defeated by prayer and the preaching of the word. And those who were rich because of WITCHCRAFT were not happy that their trade was destroyed. Acts 8:9-11; Acts 13; Acts 16:16-24; Acts 19:18-19. WITCHCRAFT and Christianity are two opposite powers; it is Jesus Christ against Satan! In one instance Paul rebuked a powerful witch who wanted to interfere with the preaching of the gospel, and he became blind! And the word of God triumphed. Even now the word of God will triumph over the power of WITCHCRAFT and it is already obtaining victory in the life of individuals delivered through the power of prayer by those who are obedient to the law of God. It is only those who obey the law of God who can have power over WITCHCRAFT. If you are a Christian and you are unfaithful you cannot have power over WITCHCRAFT! “O tlaabo o tshamekela mo ntlong pula e sa ne.” The devil is powerful; He is only defeated by Christ and we claim that victory by prayer and the word of God. When we are fully surrendered to God we have nothing to fear! We have authority over the powers of darkness.

1. Traditional doctors who throw bones and speak with spirits. (Bo-nkadilatha) This does not refer to herbalists who use indigenous knowledge to heal using various herbs.
2. Witches/wizards (Baloi)
3. Satanists- this is 21st century witchcraft

5. False pastors/ prophets
6. Sangomas
7. Secret societies- (kereke ya sephiri)
8. Séance – (necromancy)
9. Astrology
10. Magicians- (masalamose)
11. And many other forms of spiritualism in our world today
CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE?
When it comes to the truth of God; no man can choose for another! Let every man and woman decides who they will serve. Joshua 24:15. Let those who want to serve Satan practice WITCHCRAFT and teach it to their children. But those who truly believe in God teach the commandments of God. Deuteronomy 6:4-9! I am just a messenger; blame me not for the message. Am I now your enemy because I have told you the unpopular truth: Galatians 4:16?
IS IT WRONG TO BE A WITCH OR PRACTICE WITCHCRAFT?
Well; wrong and right is decided on what standard you are using. The Bible says witchcraft is the science of Satan. It is a personal choice, and every individual must use their God given powers to decide what is wrong or right. Every normal and mature person who is endowed with the freedom of choice is at liberty to choose what they want to be. Even God in His majesty cannot make that choice for us. As a preacher of righteousness my duty is to teach so that those who desire to do God’s will may be assisted to make the right choices. So that those who have been deceived by Satan may have an opportunity to escape from his snares. We present the truth not to condemn anyone but for the sake of those who are desiring to live for God. So if you are a witch I have no problem with you because that’s a personal choice. But God will bring every work to judgment! He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the people of God. Wrong or right is determined by the system you subscribe to! For Christians the standard of wrong and right is the Bible.
WITCHCRAFT IS PART OF OUR CULTURE
A typical African without the enlightenment of the Spirit and word of God, considers Christianity as a product and tool of colonialism; unfortunately WITCHCRAFT is not only in Africa; everywhere in the world there is WITCHCRAFT! It is a universal science where there are people. Concepts and principles of WITCHCRAFT is part of our cultural worship and religion. It is here that there is a painful conflict between Christianity and our culture because the Bible says WITCHCRAFT is devil worship; so we hate it and dismiss it as the white man’s philosophy to destroy our African roots. But there are witches in Europe, America, India, China, Japan. Israel etc. All the witches written in the Bible none of them was in Africa except those of Egypt! Actually, in Europe they have long started the syllabus of WITCHCRAFT. WITCHCRAFT is not unique to our culture alone. It is embedded in the cultures of all fallen humanity since we left Eden. When the Bible says WITCHCRAFT is satanic; don’t say it is because the whites hate our culture. This also is ignorance. When you talk about “seances” and illuminati and many other societies; they are coming from the western world! WITCHCRAFT knows no barriers! It is a universal curious art! The worship of ancestral spirits is part of our culture. These are the tools through which WITCHCRAFT gets its strong hold around us at it becomes impossible to live a successful Christian life. We keep regressing until we surrender to the power of the prince of darkness.
WITCHRAFT IN THE CHURCH
There is a saying which says if you can’t beat them join them. The devil has decided to take WITCHCRAFT to the church through the false prophetic ministry. WITCHCRAFT is now in the church under the pretense that it is the power of the Holy Spirit. That’s why Jesus said when He comes He will say to such people; “I never knew you” because the power they were using was not His power but the power of WITCHCRAFT. Matthew 7:21-23. Yes! It is the power of WITCHCRAFT working through the agents of Satan appearing like agents of righteousness and performing miracles. 2Corinthians 11:13-15. Actually it is much easier for those who have a background of spiritualism to become a victim of this miracle workers. No wonder they are so popular in our locality; they are anchoring on WITCHCRAFT that we are familiar with. We are already familiar with the art of WITCHCRAFT and it is easier to receive this miracle working power than to receive a plain “thus saith the Lord” and a simple faith of trust in God; which by the way has more power than the popular miracle working power. That is how Paul and Phillip closed the lucrative business of spirit mediums; because there is more power in prayer than WITCHCRAFT. They prophesied using WITCHCRAFT just as we know that spirit mediums can prophesy and see invisible things through this power. Those who do not understand the power of WITCHCRAFT think that the only power that can prophesy is the power of God and they are deceived. Most of the so-called modern prophets are simply witches masquerading as pastors! No wonder they teach us to speak in strange languages; actually this uttering of strange language is the power of evil spirits that we have always knows to be used by spirit mediums when they speak to the bones. No serious and devoted Christian can speak in these strange tongues. May be you have been coveting the ability to speak in tongues and you are not able to and you have been told that you are not receiving the spirit! Thank God you have not received the sprit of WITCHCRAFT. That is why in some instances, they have to lead you into adultery or fornication that’s when you can be able to receive the power because you will have separated yourself from God by sin. Or they have to lay their hands on you to receive the power! Revelation 16:13-14; says evil spirits come from the mouths of false prophets.
When truth is preached it will inevitably attack and condemn error; even without any intention to attack anyone. I therefore apologize not for telling the truth by for the inevitable perception of condemning others. May God help me to teach the truth without fear or favour!
