Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Trepos team won, this Saturday, the sixteenth edition of the Porto Novo Futsal Cup by defeating the Placa team in the final of the competition by 3-2. Trepos had already won this competition in 2021.
Caicedo, Ronaldo and Mama scored the goals for Trepos, while Ailton and Kelvis were the scorers for Placa.
Trepos coach Politcha said that winning back the trophy has always been a goal for his team and congratulated his players on their triumph, while Placa coach Kevy applauded the opponent for the “fair victory”, regretting, however, the difficulties encountered by its players throughout the cup.

The Vilanovenses team won the Fair Play trophy, the player Etche (Trepos) was the best in the cup, while coach Politcha (Trepos) was considered the best in the competition. Janilson Fortes (Placa) was the revelation and Elvis (Placa) was the cup’s top scorer, with 17 goals.
The Porto Novo Futsal Cup, which started in the first week of November, is an initiative of the group that promotes indoor sports in this municipality.
Lagostinha (seven editions), Tokyo (three editions), Beira Mar (two editions), Trepos (two editions), Explosão (one edition) and Juventude de Futsal (one edition) are the teams that have already won this competition.
