Africa-Press – Cape verde. The program “Visita Guiada”, from RTP2, in Portugal, dedicated to history, is recording two episodes dedicated to Cidade Velha, a World Heritage Site. This is the first time that he leaves Portuguese territory to make known the history, or part of the history of another country.
The program is presented by journalist Paula Moura Pinheiro, and proposes to tell the story of Cidade Velha, in Ribeira Grande de Santiago and World Heritage Site since 2009, to the world.
Quoted by the newspaper A NAÇÃO in its edition no797 of December 8, the journalist was delighted with what she is “discovering” about Cape Verde, or Cidade Velha, in particular, advancing that she has been preparing the program and respective research on Cape Verde and Cidade Velha, about two months ago.
“I’ve been studying Cape Verde’s history for two months to prepare the programme. But, one thing is to study and another thing is to experience, see and live. I’m loving the history of Cidade Velha. I found it so beautiful, so moving, so strong,” she said.
In the two episodes that she intends to dedicate to Cidade Velha, Paula Moura Pinheiro says she hopes to be able to pass on to viewers all the essence she discovered
of what is considered the cradle of Cape Verdean nationality, taking into account the perspective of the program in listening and learning from historians who are
at the forefront of research.
The date of when the episodes will air has not yet been revealed.
