Africa-Press – Cape verde. About 19 fishermen from Santa Cruz will receive, for the first time, their maritime certificates, this Friday, issued by the IMP, the national maritime authority.
About 54 fishermen from Santa Cruz, Santiago, will receive their maritime certificates, which enable them to be professionally identified as seafarers.
Of these 54, 19 will have access to the document for the first time and the remaining 35 correspond to renewals, according to the law in force.
The documents will be delivered by the Minister of the Sea, Abraão Vicente, this Friday, 16th, at 3 pm, at the Katchás Youth Initiative Centre.
The set of 54 banknotes, issued by the maritime authority – IMP, was financed by the Autonomous Fisheries Fund resulting from a request from the MORAPOLAR Fishermen’s Association.
The delivery act will also be attended by the Board of Directors of the IMP, the Captain of the Sotavento Ports, the Delegate of the Ministry of the Sea for the South Region and technicians from the IMP and DNPA.
