Africa-Press – Cape verde. The mayor of Praia (CMP), Francisco Carvalho, today accused the Movement for Democracy (MpD) of being against the development of Praia and of trying to manipulate public opinion.
The mayor of Praia made these accusations during his intervention at the IV special extraordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of Praia on the state balance of the municipality of Praia.
Francisco Carvalho began his speech by stating that “Praia’s biggest problem is the MpD” which, as he accused, spent 12 years in power squandering Praia’s resources.
“People from Praia, Cape Verdeans should know that this stance of the MpD in the municipality of Praia, which decided to vote against all the proposals, which in its eagerness to negate, obsession to vote against everything, even voted against Christmas lighting”. He said, stressing that “all the love that the MpD had for Praia ended immediately on October 25, 2020 when it lost the elections”.
