Africa-Press – Cape verde. The community of Chã de Lagoa, municipality of Santa Catarina de Santiago, will benefit from a new water reservoir with capacity to serve 150 people. The project, the result of a protocol between the City Council and the AgroTravi association, also includes five family cisterns .
This is, according to the municipality, the result of a “joint mon” between community associations of Ribeira dos Engenhos, namely ADCCLE, Agroaricabom and AgroTrevi, the local government and the German embassy in Cape Verde.
The project was financed by the aforementioned embassy, in 15 thousand euros (1,644.50 ECV), by the City Council, in 517 thousand escudos.
30 cubic meters of capacity
The reservoir has a capacity for 30 cubic meters of water, while the family reservoirs receive 12 cubic meters.
The inauguration is scheduled for this Monday, starting at 11 am, as a visit to one of the beneficiaries, followed by a guided visit to the community reservoir of Chã de Lagoa.
