Africa-Press – Cape verde. The 14th Edition of the NOSiAkademia Professional Internship Program will have 90 young graduates, 34 more than the previous edition.
The 90 young people selected for the 14th edition of the professional internship at the NOSi academy will be welcomed this Wednesday, the 15th, at 4 pm, in one of the capital’s restaurants, for the official reception at the start of the programme.
This 2023 edition represents, according to NOSi, a substantial increase in relation to the previous edition that had received 56 young interns.
It should be recalled that the NOSiAkademia Professional internship program, since its implementation in 2018, is in its 14th edition and has already received, according to the same source, more than 2000 applications, benefiting more than 367 young people. The employability rate, guarantees the institution, is 84%.
For this edition of the program, NOSi Akademia has international partners such as PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and Visionware.
Preparing young people for the job market
The objective, remember, is to prepare young people for a better insertion in the job market and for entrepreneurship.
In the first few weeks, young people participate in an intensive training course in various technological tools, to then be allocated to different areas and projects.
In addition to the internship, the program has several other initiatives. Like JumpStart – NOSiAkademia, which supports research and development projects for national companies free of charge. According to the same source, there are already dozens of companies associated with the Jump Start program.
Also the TicSeed Pre-incubator – a program to encourage entrepreneurship – through which young people are trained to develop and implement a technology-based business idea, after completing their internship.
Through reference technological partners, training is provided to certify NOSiAkademia interns in cutting-edge technologies, thus creating the conditions for the development of human resources of “excellence” in the national and international job market.
