Africa-Press – Cape verde. The direct, non-stop connection starts in June and ends in September, meaning it is a specific charter for the summer, which will especially serve the resorts of the RIU chain, which has three hotel units on Ilha das Dunas.
The airline Iberojet starts flying to Cape Verde in June. The direct, non-stop connection between Madrid and Boa Vista runs until September.
According to a press release, this is a partnership between Ávoris Corporación Empresarial, which owns Iberojet, and the tour operator Travelplan, which created the travel offer with direct flights from Madrid to Boavista together with RIU Hotels & Resorts.
Travelplan’s travel schedule with the RIU group focuses on the three establishments that this hotel chain has on the island and which naturally absorb the largest number of beds and tourists who visit Boa Vista.
“A direct flight will allow more tourists to enter the country, helping the sector to return to pre-pandemic numbers”, explains the RIU Group.
It should be noted that this Group currently has six resorts in Cape Verde, three in Boa Vista and three in Sal, contributing to the creation of 2,839 jobs in the country, being one of the largest private employers in the country.
