Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Government of Cape Verde has granted a one-off allowance to State officials and agents, starting at 12 noon on Tuesday, Carnival day, and throughout Wednesday, the first day of Lent. Security forces and health agents are not covered.
According to Resolution no 10/2023, of February 17th, published in the Official Gazette, “one-off employees and agents of the State, public institutes and local authorities are granted a one-off period, referring to Carnival and the first day of Lent”.
The measure takes effect from 12 noon on Tuesday, 21st, Carnival day, and throughout the day of Wednesday, the first day of Lent, Ash Day.
Therefore, reinforces the same source, the hours of operation and attendance of the employees and workers of the aforementioned services, on Tuesday, are from 8am to 12pm.
However, the Armed Forces, the National Police, the Judiciary Police, health establishments, prison agents, guards and vigilantes, as well as services that work on an uninterrupted basis, are not covered by the point tolerance.
