Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Adérito Sena Stadium will host, this Saturday, the 15th, the final of the São Vicente Cup, between the teams of Académica do Mindelo and Mindelense. A flood is expected at the Stadium.
The derby between the eternal rivals starts at 3:30 pm and, as usual, the presentation of the trophy at the end of the match must be the responsibility of the mayor, or his representative.
“Double” for Mindelense?
Mindelense, who last week won their seventh consecutive regional championship, reached the São Vicente Cup final after eliminating Ponta de Pom (2nd division) in the first round by 3-0, Castilho, in the second round by 3-2 and, finally, Batuque, in the semi-finals, by 2-1.
Académica do Mindelo, which in the three rounds faced two teams from the second division and one from the first, got the better of Corinthians (2nd division) by 1-0, in the first round, defeated Salamansa (2nd division) in the second, by 2-0, and, in the semi-finals, beat Ribeira Bote by 2-0.
