Africa-Press – Cape verde. Starting October 27 of this year, easyJet will connect Amsterdam to the island of Sal via a new winter route.
In a statement, the airline announced that flights are already available for booking, with operations scheduled for three weekly frequencies: on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The carrier highlights that this new connection comes in response to demand for sun destinations among tourists from Northern Europe during the colder months.
In this regard, the island of Sal is cited as one of the sunniest destinations in Cape Verde, offering ideal conditions for leisure vacations featuring white-sand beaches and turquoise waters, as well as activities such as water sports and experiences in natural volcanic pools.
With this new route, the airline’s total number of connections to the island of Sal rises to seven, adding to the existing routes from Lisbon and Porto (Portugal); Bristol, London, and Manchester (United Kingdom); and Milan (Italy).
According to easyJet, this expansion reflects the company’s commitment to fostering tourism development in Cape Verde by strengthening connectivity and offering travel options at competitive prices.
Bookings for the new Amsterdam–Sal route—as well as for all flights scheduled for 2026—are now available on the airline’s website and mobile app.
