Africa-Press – Cape verde. Doctors, nurses, and technicians from Agostinho Neto University Hospital (HUAN) participated in an open discussion today about the protection and treatment of patient data in order to ensure greater security for these data.
The workshop was organized by the National Data Protection Commission, in commemoration of the anniversary of the inauguration of its members, with the aim of raising the level of data security, with particular focus on the recent changes made to the general legal regime for the protection of personal data of individuals.
In statements to the press, on the sidelines of the workshop, the CEO of HUAN, Imadoeno Cabral, explained that the hospital is currently in the process of implementing digital technologies to strengthen healthcare services and have them fully digitized.
Currently, the hospital, according to the CEO, has a fully computerized clinical analysis laboratory, including a platform through which users can access information on scheduling their exams from their homes through the hospital portal, track the entire production of laboratory exams, and receive results via mobile phone or email.
