Africa-Press – Cape verde. A Cape Verdean business delegation participated in the International Civil Construction Fair (Tektónica) and the Portugal Real Estate Show (SIL), held from April 23 to 25 at the Lisbon International Fair (FIL) in Parque das Nações.
Speaking to Inforpress, the President of the Sotavento Chamber of Commerce (CCS), Marcos Rodrigues, reported that the delegation—which he led—consisted of eight member companies from the construction and real estate sectors, representing all the islands of the Sotavento group.
According to Rodrigues, the mission—promoted by the CCS—aimed to identify new opportunities for sourcing civil construction materials, as well as to analyze the latest trends in the real estate sector, including projects and concepts ranging from urban planning to interior design.
The presence of the Cape Verdean delegation also sought to bolster the internationalization of companies from the Sotavento region, creating opportunities to establish contacts with new markets, strategic partners, and innovative trends.
As he explained, the Cape Verdean entrepreneurs did not participate as exhibitors, given that the archipelago is not yet a producer of construction materials.
Consequently, he noted, their participation focused on visiting the booths of exporting companies, allowing them to discover new products and technologies in the fields of construction, interior decoration, and real estate.
For the organizing body, participation in these two highly prominent international events—covering the construction, real estate, and logistics sectors—underscores the dynamism, diversity, and potential of the region’s business community, as well as its commitment to internationalization and sustainable growth.
