Africa-Press – Cape verde. The island of Boa Vista will host, from Thursday 27th, the 2nd edition of the International Conference of Partners for Development, an event aimed at boosting the country’s economy, under the motto “Impulse changes and accelerate development”.
The first day of the conference will be marked by the presentation of the vision of the Country’s strategic development document in the horizon of 2026 and a Round Table, this being a moment for a discussion between the Government of Cape Verde and the development partners.
Create an “enabling environment” for debate
A 2a edição da Conferência Internacional de Parceiros para Desenvolvimento pretende criar um “ambiente propício” de debate, realizando a ambição de fazer de Cabo Verde uma democracia “consolidada e moderna”, uma “Nação Azul, inclusiva, digital, emergente e resiliente”, uma economia de circulação localizada no Atlântico Médio, integrada na Comunidade Económica dos Estados Africanos Ocidentais (CEDEAO), com prosperidade compartilhada, um “País útil e plenamente integrado” no Sistema Económico Mundial.
The event will have the participation of several national and international entities, including specialists in matters of finance and development.
The opening will be chaired by the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva.
