The Cape Verde Cup, the second biggest football competition in the country, starts this Saturday, with two games in the first round, with the highlight being the confrontation between Varandinha, from Tarrafal de Santiago, and Travadores, from Praia. This match puts face to face two teams that also compete in the national championship, a competition that this weekend suffers an interregnum to give way to the Cape Verde Cup.
