
Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Government, through the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Energy, will sign today, Thursday, at 3 pm, in the conference room of the said ministry, the concession contract for the installation, operation and exploitation of 40 public charging stations for electric vehicles in all islands of the country.
The contract will be signed with the company Trações Elétricas de Cabo Verde, a unipessoal company, SA, winner of the public tender within the scope of the Electric Mobility Promotion project (ProMEC) of the Government of Cape Verde.
The contract has a duration of seven years and the value of public investment in the project is budgeted at around thirty thousand escudos and is funded by the Mitigation Action Facility.
According to a press release, this is another “important step” in the implementation of the Electric Mobility Policy Charter and the Government’s goals in the process of decarbonizing transport by 2050.
