Africa-Press – Cape verde. Artists, municipal technicians, cultural agents and music users and partner institutions in the municipalities of the island of São Nicolau are receiving training actions, promoted by the Cape Verdean Music Society, in partnership with the municipalities.
With this step, said the president of SCM, Solange Cesarovna, guaranteed that the institution will, from now on, be closer to local partners and members, in guaranteeing copyright.
For his part, the mayor of Tarrafal, who officially opened the training sessions, said it was a “very good partnership”, very good, as artists from both municipalities will benefit from SCM’s services and will pass to have their rights safeguarded by their creations.
The training action began in Ribeira Brava, covering event promoters, cultural agents and music user partners.
Other target audiences
The next few days will be dedicated to musicians, authors, artists, performers, editors, phonographic producers, music researchers or musicologists, municipal technicians, partner institutions of both Municipalities, event promoters, cultural agents, partners and music users from Tarrafal.
The training actions began on Thursday, June 8th, in Ribeira da Brava and will run until next Thursday, the 15th, in a partnership that also involves the Luxembourg Cooperation.
