Africa-Press – Cape verde. The senior men’s handball team ASA Stars, started this Monday, the 26th, the defense of the title of national champion with a triumph over Vitória de Paul by 30-22, in the first match round of group A.
In the opening game of the competition, which takes place at the Seixal pavilion, in Boa Vista, Palmeira do Sal beat ARBS, one of the hosts, by 27-25 and in the other match of this group B Girassol beat Picos by 25-17.
To close this first round, in a game referring to group A, JBS de São Nicolau was defeated by Juventude da Boa Vista (20-37), a team invited to make up for the absence of Atlético de São Vicente.
