Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Grémio Desportivo de Nhagar club, from Santa Catarina, in the interior of Santiago, received this Saturday, July 1st, a donation of sports materials from the Portuguese company “Flex2000”. The delivery took place at Estádio de Cumbém and was attended by the mayor Jacira Monteiro.
On behalf of the company, Carlos Pereira Filho said that the history of this donation began with Wilson Carvalho, a son from Santa Catarina and his former college colleague who initiated contact to support Grémio Desportivo de Nhagar.
“We are very happy to offer this equipment. We saw the kids and the joy in receiving these gifts, maybe we won’t be able to help everyone, but we hope to make a difference in the life of one of them”, stressed the businessman.
In turn, Ima da Lomba, President of Grémio Desportivo de Nhagar, did not hide her satisfaction with the donation of equipment and guaranteed that it will improve the mood of the children, and overcome some of the difficulties they face.
Better conditions for the practice of sport
Also present at the act of delivery, the mayor of Santa Catarina, Jacira Monteiro, spoke of the impact that the donation will have on the lives of children, who will have better conditions for the practice of sport. “Helping the kids is helping the House,” she said.
Boots, training and game equipment, sports bags and other materials for the club’s youth teams are valued at 10,000 euros.
