Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Government, through a resolution of the Council of Ministers, authorized an endorsement, of almost 600 million escudos, to Transportes Aéreos de Cabo Verde (TACV) for the acquisition of a Boeing B737-8 aircraft.
According to Thursday’s Official Bulletin, this concession was authorized in the form of financial leasing with Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC), in the exact terms of the “Unconditional Guaranty”
The term of the guarantee is one hundred and forty-four months (12 years), in accordance with the repayment plan and the maturity date of the loan, under the terms established by the Operating Lease Agreement (CLO).
Importance of TACV
The Government justifies the decision with the importance that TACV plays in the dynamics of the national economy, namely in terms of commerce and tourism, considering, therefore, central intervention by the State to restore the company’s financial balance.
In the document, quoted by Inforpress, the executive also recalls that, according to the Recovery and Stabilization Plan, as well as the Interim Business Plan (Interim BP) for the period from 2023 to 2027, the airline pointed to the acquisition of the second aircraft in 2023, within the scope of the development of its activity.
