Africa-Press – Cape verde. The IV International Conference on “African, Ibero-American and Caribbean Literatures and Cultures” is scheduled for November 28 to 30, at the University of Santiago, in Cape Verde and the ‘call for papers’ runs until 20 of August

In a semi-presential modality, the international initiative, founded and chaired by the Humanities Center of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (New University of Lisbon ) (CHAM – Nova FCSH) Portugal, has the organizing committee chaired by the Cape Verdean specialist in Cape Verdean literature. -verdiana and researcher at (CHAM – Nova FCSH), Hilarino da Luz.

Speaking to Inforpress, the chairman of the organizing committee explained that the conference arose within the scope of his post-doctoral project, in which he idealized the event that would have a cross-border component and could be “ambulant”, indicating that the next editions are already scheduled in 2024 at the University of Gran Canaria (Spain), in 2025 at the Lusófona University (Mindelo, Cape Verde), in 2026 at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (USA).

“In Portugal, where the conference was conceived, it is scheduled to take place in 2027, because we want a mobile internationalization that turns out to be extremely interesting for our objectives, which is to create an international research network, aiming at scientific production, the dissemination of our institutions and our countries”, he clarified.
