Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Prime Minister today highlighted the importance of Cape Verdean public administration in providing services in various areas and hoped that next year it could serve the country “even better”.

Ulisses Correia e Silva made these considerations to the press, after visiting, this morning, the exhibition “Art, Crafts and Literature – From the Christmas spirit, from nature to man”, an initiative promoted by the Government Palace Management.

“Art, Crafts and Literature” embraces, according to the organization, the Christmas spirit and provides a festive environment for all employees of the Government Palace, whose initiative reflects the commitment of the Administration Department of the Government Palace and its partnerships in raising the local artistic expression during the festive season.

The head of Government recalled that it is a tradition, during the Christmas period, to celebrate the festive season with employees at the Government Palace, with the purpose of leaving a message to all Cape Verdean public administration employees.

“Wishing you a merry Christmas with your families and hoping that the new year ahead is better than the year that is ending, it is always like this, a shared desire that it be a year in which we can have and recharge our energy so that we can all continue to serve Cape Verde ”, he stressed.

For Ulisses Correia e Silva, public administration “is irreplaceable and important in any country in the world”, and in Cape Verde it has “a very great importance” in the provision of services in various areas, from education, health, justice services, security and services that directly touch people’s lives.

He took the opportunity to hope that next year the Cape Verdean public administration will serve the country “even better”, responding with “increasingly better effectiveness and quality”.

For her part, the exhibition’s curator, Silviana Rocha, highlighted that the exhibition has been on display since the 18th to transform the work space into a place of social interaction” and to frame the Christmas spirit.

“We have paintings here that belong to the permanent collection of contemporary art and we also have some artisans with samples of various pieces, from lamps, beauty products, sandals, jewelry and literature”, he pointed out.

He highlighted the “good interaction” between the employees and the artisans, who took advantage of the occasion to choose the gifts to offer, stating that after all this was the intended objective.
