Africa-Press – Cape verde. It’s official. The President of the Republic promulgated, today, December 29th, the diploma of the National Assembly that approves the State Budget (OGE) for the year 2024. José Maria Neves takes the opportunity to appeal to all Cape Verdeans to follow the practical implementation of this budget, in accordance with the commitments assumed and announced by the government of Ulisses Correia e Silva.
As can be read on the page of the Presidency of the Republic, this time, contrary to what had happened when the Law that approved the State Budget for 2023 was promulgated, the Head of State did not accompany the act of promulgation with any message, insofar as that the considerations made then remain valid, in full.
” In fact, the OE2024 maintains, practically, the same matrix as that of the State Budget still in force, without resulting in any substantial changes, namely in the income and price policy, in the tax policy, in the debt policy, in addition to the absence of any effort to contain and rationalize expenses” . refers to the aforementioned source.
José Maria Neves takes the opportunity to urge Cape Verdeans to monitor the execution of the OE2024, as well as the fulfillment of the commitments already assumed and/or announced, which will be translated, in financial terms, within the scope of the execution of the same budget.
