Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Embraer E190-E1 aircraft from the Cape Verdean airline Bestfly will be loaned to another company abroad, after another year of inactivity and without ever having flown on commercial routes in Cape Verde. The information was provided by the Brazilian aviation website, Aeroin, which assured that after many months since landing in Cape Verde, the first Embraer E190-E1 jet from the local airline, Bestfly, will return to operating commercially, but, not It will be by the aforementioned company, but by another African company, under a wet-leasing regime.

The same source, which cites the Newsaero website, reported that the jet will be transferred for three months to the airline Air Burkina, from Burkina Faso.

Aeroin explained that Bestfly has not yet been able to fly the aircraft commercially in Cape Verde, having even, at the end of 2022, complained about the “regulator’s delay and bureaucracy” in releasing the plane, received at the beginning of that year.

In mid-2022, according to the same source, professionals from Embraer came to Cape Verde to help with the process, but the plane never flew.

However, Aeroin added, the Civil Aviation Agency (AAC) also justified the delay through documents and showing that the airline itself had requested the suspension of the process of including the airplane model in its operational specifications.

On June 2, 2023, the aircraft registered D4-BFE (msn19000102), as confirmed by the aviation website, took off for a test flight after a long time, followed by other tests, but without ever operating commercially on Bestfly routes .
